Course Description
What does the Kingdom of God say about money, wealth, and resources? This 5-week course is a theological and practical exploration of wealth and resources through a Kingdom lens. It seeks to dismantle distortions like the Prosperity Gospel and Mammon, while recovering God’s original intent for stewardship, generosity, and economic justice. Through Scripture, and practical insight, students will examine their own relationship with money and be equipped to engage with wealth as faithful stewards, benefactors, and spiritual "blacksmiths" who shape culture and community.
Course Format
The first 4 weeks will consist of 3-hour classes, each featuring two main teaching sessions. Each session will include 1 hour of teaching followed by group discussion, with a 20-minute break in between. The final week will be a 4-hour class, culminating in a time of reflection, sharing, commissioning, and prayer.
Learning Objectives
• Identify and evaluate biblical responses to the true Prosperity Gospel and Mammon. • Understand wealth from a Kingdom stewardship perspective. • Embrace generosity as a lifestyle, not just an act. • Explore the redemptive role of benefactors in God’s mission. • Recognize their own call to be "blacksmiths"—forgers of spiritual and economic transformation. • Reimagine money as a tool for blessing, justice, and renewal of family, communities and nations.
